Therapy Services in Washington, DC

District Counseling and Psychotherapy offers depth-oriented, trauma-informed therapy for adults across Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, and New York. Our clinicians combine psychodynamic psychotherapy, Somatic Experiencing, CBT, and shame resilience, courage, and self-compassion work, offered by a Daring Way Trained Facilitator, to address what keeps people stuck, not only the symptoms on the surface.

The practice is led by Clinical Director Joseph W. LaFleur Jr., LICSW, SEP.

All services are available by secure telehealth. We are in-network with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, Evernorth/Cigna, and Optum/UnitedHealthcare.
